The siding material "Obi Cedar OB3P/OB3P-B" is an exterior wall material with a thickness of 18mm that enhances corrosion resistance by adopting "PAD drying," which slowly dries the wood over a long period, preventing the release of weather-resistant components of Obi cedar. The joint area is designed to be easy to handle and strong against the expansion and contraction of wood. It features a rough finish that allows for quick moisture release absorbed from rain. OB3P is a design variation of OB6P. By creating a decorative groove of the same size as the joint in the center with a working width of 123mm, it gives the appearance of being half the width while maintaining the same construction effort. However, its population has drastically decreased due to rampant logging during the Gold Rush era. Redwood has been cherished by various architects, including Charles Moore, and has woven its history. This exterior wall material, processed with a rough surface in California, is resilient to Japan's climate changes due to its increased adaptability to shrinkage, and it also has good paint adhesion. Thanks to its characteristic of growing straight and large, it has been commercialized in standard sizes. While there are variations in color, the lumber produced is close to being knot-free.
